Morning Edition carried a very sad story this morning. It was a commentary by a soon-to-be new father in Baghdad. His final words were
Why would I want to bring an innocent child into a bloody savage world? I don’t. I regret what I did. I got my wife pregnent in Baghdad
It made me cry.
I had a similar experience in Haiti. A lady brought her baby to the orphange where I was and left it there. It would be safe, and fed, but it was not special to anyone. How sad that a child would not have someone he was special to.
I also cried.
Sad but really the truth! Wish I could see a world where there is not a single gunshot fired in a day!
